St. Patrick's & St. Anthony's Catholic Community at 920 Fulton Street, Grand Haven, MI 49417 US - Parish Grounds get a Facelift

Parish Grounds get a Facelift

During the month of June, Building and Grounds Committee members, and guest volunteers tackled a few landscape tasks that required their time and talent. We have pictures to show a few examples of the hearty souls who rallied behind Fr. Bill to keep our grounds pleasant, refreshed, and inviting. In total over 45 individuals served both parishes in this capacity. At Saint Anthony’s several groups organized work sessions to spiff up the grounds for the arrival of a special clergyman. Bishop Hurley was coming to Robinson Township and would choose July 2nd as the Sunday he would visit there. Weeding, trimming, bark replacement and new stone beds were the order of the day. These improvements to the exterior will be a source of satisfaction throughout the summer. The interior also received attention from Altar Society members and a last minute rush by Corporate Cleaners. Just a few weeks prior, several members of the parish baseball team offered their time to spread bark at St. Pat’s. After three organized work bees, new bark was placed, flower beds were weeded, shrubs pruned, and several new flowers were planted to add color to our landscape. Our grounds reflect the TLC of several caring parishioners with green thumbs. (Some with blisters) John Strazanac Kurt Nienhouse
